Today we are showing you the latest short film to come out of Cannes. While this video has nothing to do with the Film Festival it would have no doubt been a worthy addition.

GoPro is the brand of camera you’d normally associate with extreme sports, where size and image stabilization are crucial. As a result GoPro are the specialists at delivering new online content that are a visual treat, whether it be in kayaking, surfing or snowboarding. We have a GoPro in the Rocketman office and it’s great. While all of the above are branded as official GoPro videos, there is a more recent clip that doesn’t claim such an official association.

Today’s clip shows the capabilities of GoPro in a whole new application and asks the viewer to believe the unbelievable. This video is of a seagull that apparently picked up one of these light weight cameras and just flew off! During this flight the camera manages to record some amazing footage above the streets of Cannes, testament to the high standards of the product as well as the tenacity of the bird. So this video is amazing but it does beg the question, is it fake?

Nobody does viral videos quite like GoPro so instantly suspicion has to be raised, along with the fact that I’ve also never heard a bird make noises like that. Judging by the videos comments not even the internet can confirm its authenticity and if the internet doesn’t know something then god help the rest of us!

Thoughts? It is a genuine video or some clever marketing to get us to say GoPro, GoPro, GoPro…..
