Dancing shoes….and pants….and jacket

It all started a few years back with a gorilla on a drum kit playing Phil Collin’s ‘In The Air Tonight’. We thought it was hilarious and after a month life went on. Then came the children with the dancing eyebrows. This commercial stopped me sleeping for a week, I was fearful of a Children of the Corn type of reprisal. And last year came a video Halloween tale with plot points directed by their Facebook group. Yes, it seems the people at Cadbury’s ‘Glass And A Half’ Productions specialise in odd videos to go viral and prompt water-cooler discussion around the water-cooler.

For their latest, Glass And A Half have created a new video that successfully captures the odd and memorable traits that made their previous clips so odd and memorable. Titled ‘Dancing Clothes’, the 90 second clip uses gyrating and isolating Op Shop clothing to help sell chocolate bars. But of course the videos have always relied on subtle branded reiteration, the distinctive purple carpet in this video for example is seemingly enough of the prompting we need to know this is Cadbury. Of course, the title at the beginning is also a bit of a giveaway…

What will be the next video to come out of the Cadbury skunk-works production house? A panda sneezing? Some ‘chocolate rain’? A talking orange? No, of course not, those things are ridiculous and nobody would bother to watch them….surely.
